1. Adding a new email account in Outlook 2007

  1. On the Tools menu, click Email Accounts .




  2. Click 'New...'




  3. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and then click Next




  4. Tick 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types'. Click Next




  5. Select Internet E-mail. Click Next




  6. Enter your name and your new email address.

    Select your Account Type as POP3.

    Enter the 'Incoming mail server (POP3)' as mail.mydomain.com, replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Enter the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' as mail.mydomain.com, replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Enter your 'User name' as your full email address (e.g. john@mydomain.com) , and your password as you have specified in your Personal control panel.

    Click More Settings ...

    Note: Your incoming and outgoing mail server settings can be found at Manage Services.




  7. Click Outgoing Server and click 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Ensure 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' is selected. Click OK, click Next and click Finish to return to Outlook. Outlook should now be ready to send & receive email.




  8. Click Finish.




  9. Click Close to return to Outlook. Outlook will now be ready to send & receive email.

2. Adding a new email account in Outlook 2000/XP/2003

  1. On the Tools menu, click email Accounts .




  2. Select Add a new email account , and then click Next .




  3. Select the POP3 'Connect to a POP3 email server to download your email' option, and then click Next.




  4. Enter your name and new email address. Enter your 'User name' as your full email address (e.g. john@mydomain.com) , and your password as you have specified in your Personal control panel.

    Enter the 'Incoming mail server (POP3)' as mail.mydomain.com, replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Enter the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' as mail.mydomain.com, replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Click More Settings ...

    Note: Your incoming and outgoing mail server settings can be found at Manage Services.





  5. Click Outgoing Server and click 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Ensure 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' is selected. Click OK, click Next and click Finish to return to Outlook. Outlook should now be ready to send & receive email.

3. Adding a new email account in Outlook Express

  1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts .




  2. Click Add and select Mail...




  3. Enter the name you wish to appear on your outgoing emails under 'Display name'. Click Next.




  4. Enter your full email address e.g. john@mydomain.com. Click Next.




  5. Enter the 'Account name' as your full email address (e.g. john@mydomain.com) , and your password as you have specified in your Personal control panel.





  6. Check that 'My incoming mail server' is set to 'POP3'. Enter the 'Incoming mail server (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server' as mail.mydomain.com , replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Enter the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' as mail.mydomain.com , replacing 'mydomain.com' with the domain of your hosting account.

    Click Finish.

    Note: Your incoming and outgoing mail server settings can be found at Manage Services.




  7. Check your new account is highlighted. Click Properties to open the account property window. Click Servers and click 'My server requires authentication'. Click OK and click Close to return to Outlook. Outlook should now be ready to send & receive email.
